WHO NEEDS A MEDICINE HANDLING COURSE?
All animal owners and their employees who need to give medicine to production animals need to have a medicine handling course.
This also applies to horse owners whose horses are not excluded from consumption.
WHEN ARE THE COURSES HELD?
Ø-Vet regularly holds medicine courses in Danish and English.
YOU DO NOT HAVE TO TAKE THE COURSE IF:
You have before 1 February 2007 had more than six consecutive months of practical experience with production animals from full-time employment in a herd including experience with giving animals medicine.
You are a horse owner and your horsess are excluded from consumption.
WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE MEDICINE HANDLING COURSE?
To give the participants theoretical and practical knowledge about secure use of medicine on farms with domestic animals and furred animals and in aqua culture systems.
To give the participants basic knowledge of the law.
